It was 2002. I remember my mom took my brother and me to GameStop across from EB Games (we miss you, my boy) and let us choose one game. My brother decided we should get 007. But without any prior knowledge, and an unproven title. I wanted to get Halo: Combat Evolved. I was annoying my mom and brother by suggesting we get Halo instead of 007. (Insert Goat noises🐏) My mom got us each a game. We were both happy AF. But man, every time I reminisce on that memory, it brings me great joy to know that my first game became one of the most iconic franchises ever. It is still my favorite to this day. Hours of system link with the homies, one of the few games to bring such gatherings. "I do know how to pick them."

So, even tho we did have the SNES, N64, PS1, NGC, & Xbox, the first console that was my own alone, was the PlayStation 2 Slim in 2004. I remember the Xbox being stationed in my brother's room or the living room, while I had the PS2 in my room. Those were the times when I really got into gaming. I played games such as Star Ocean: Till the End of Times, Tales of Symphonia, Grandia 3, Atelier Iris 2, AR Tonelico 1 & 2, Dragon Quest 8, Final Fantasy X, and other non-JRPGs. Little did I know. I became Japanese in the following years 😆 (JK). Playing a Sony console on a Sony TV, playing Japanese games with late-night anime on Toonami. Ahhh, the good days.. The Golden Ages for Games, Anime, Cars, & Sports.

The previous account I couldn't retrieve was named xl Shin0bi lx. So I made a similar name to my first gamer profile. I have always been intrigued by ninjas. So, I chose that name in the past. This time around, I had more creativity involved in it. I wanted a name that not only reflected my love for my previous name but also paid homage to my favorite basketball player and anime character. Kopi stands for two things: Kobe and Copy. Kopi translates to Copy in many languages. So Kopi (Copy) Shinobi (Ninja) it refers to "Kakashi the Copy Ninja." As for the other meaning, my favorite sport I participate in is basketball, and as you can assume, its for Kobe Bryant (RIP). The second best player of all time!!

Side note: Kopi also means Coffee 😆
